PerDis 2026: International Symposium on Pervasive Displays
Overview
The International Symposium on Pervasive Displays (PerDis) 2026 will bring together researchers and practitioners to explore innovations in pervasive and situated display technologies. We aim to revive and reshape PerDis by blending the legacy of the PerDis symposium with the Media Architecture Biennale (MAB), both traditionally ACM / ACM In-Cooperation events. This new format bridges academia and industry, recognizing how research interests, topics, and technologies have rapidly evolved. It allows for novel application areas and the utilization of emerging components. We aim to incorporate these advancements and sharpen the focus of this new conference format, inviting a broad audience to join the community for the inaugural event, hosted by LMU Munich in Spring 2026.
Topics include, but are not limited to: Political or Security Related Urban Displays (PUDs) and interfaces, urban robotics, Physical AI in urban environments, Sustainable/Green Media Architecture, Smart buildings and infrastructures, and more (TBD).
